My name is Deshon Allen and I began my cheerleading career as a mascot at Paris Junior College in 1988. After a cheerleader dropped from the team, the director gave me the opportunity to join the team as a cheerleader. It took me a long time to learn to stunt, but I remember my first toss to hands and from that moment, I was hooked. I transferred to East Texas State University and was on the competition squad. I then tried out to be a cheer staff
member for NCA (National Cheerleading Association). Running camps and teaching cheerleaders led me to my next opportunity which was leading a pop warner team known as, the Junior Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The juniors got the chance to perform at two halftime shows and work with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. This was when my goal to become a director began. I moved to Florida to work for Disney, and on a cruise ship the powers that be made a semi pro football team, known as the Palm Beach Makos, find me on Facebook asking if I would be the director for their cheerleaders. Five years later, I have produced one of the best semi pro cheer teams in the country. Now my goal is to help my cheerleaders get the experience they need to cheer and dance in the NFL or NBA.

My Inspirational Quote…
I learned to give not because I have much, but because I know exactly how it feels to have nothing.
