As much as I love shopping and fashion, I’m always trying to save a penny or two. Over the weekend I was browsing Free People’s website and discovered their new workout line. Right now they have some adorable dance/yoga leggings that wrap around the ankle and add a stylistic flare to boring old dance leggings. However, there was just one big problem… They were 78 dollars! I love clothes, but I’m definitely not willing to spend that much on something I’m going to sweat in. So that got me creative wheels turning and inspired me to make my very own Free People inspired yoga wrap pants!
Here is what you will need…
- 1 pair of leggings (Or try multiple colors)
- Good sharp fabric scissors
Step 1: At the ankle of your leggings, cut two angled strips on one side of the inseam (almost like an upside down arrow).
Step 2: Cut along the inseam until you get about 2 inches before the knee region and stop.
Step 3: Repeat steps 1-2 on the opposite inseam.
Step 4: Remove the front and back excess fabric very carefully. Try to cut as straight as possible to avoid uneven ends.
Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 on the other leg.
Step 6: Workout like a fashionista!
