I have been posting mainly workouts, but I wanted to give you guys a little sneak peek into my overall fitness routine and how I stay in shape. Work it Out Wednesday with Shabella

Hold me Accountable

So I’m gonna try something new, but I sort of need your help in regard to being held accountable… This summer, since time is on my side and all, I want to start working out. You see, I inherited these awesome genes from my dad where I really don’t have to be active to maintain my weight. Now, before you shut your laptop on me, hear me out when I say this isn’t exactly a blessing. With the food I eat and my lack of exercise, I feel like one day my health may dramatically turn on me–especially with diseases like cancer and heart disease being prevalent within my family.

The Plan

Starting today and hopefully every Wednesday, hopefully… I plan to share a “Work it Out” #OOTD (outfit of the day) as well as a fitness tip or “Work it Out” fitness routine. I figured, why not inspire my followers, all while improving my health? it’s a win win!

Today I’m rockin’ a beautiful mesh racer back tank and super chic mesh joggers from a new line known as Shabella. Work it Out!

Cardio… Ughhh… I know, I know–but this is the best way to snap back into shape and lose weight. I created and used this, “Work it Out” routine to whip my body back into shape after having my two-year old–it seriously works–sucks, but works! Kettlebell abs by BrittanyHello everyone! How are you doing on the workouts so far? Hopefully good because you know what is coming up quicker than we think? Tryouts! Now like others I have posted, you
can do this workout practically anywhere as long as you have one important factor–a kettlebell! I try to tailor these workouts so that even if you don’t have a gym membership, you can still get in the best shape, maintain a healthy life, all while saving money! Like stated in the video, each move is to be done 3 times in sets of 30, so get to it and get those kettlebell abs!

Hoping week 2 of my Brain Reframe Challenge went well for you! For the final week I want to focus on your end goal, and finish strong.

When it comes to retraining the brain, we must focus on our ultimate goal so that we have something to aim for, and therefore, finish strong.

Let the Brain Surgery Begin! Week 3

Sasha Agent "Brain Reframe: 21 Day Train the Brain Challenge"

Day 15: Reminder

  1. Get your journal or calendar, and take a look at Day 21, just to give yourself a reminder of your end goal.
  2. Now on Day 15, simply follow the video to engage in the same breathing exercise as last week. Again, you will practice this daily.
  3. Take a note for today and write… “Week 3, let’s finish this!”

Day 16: New Happy Place

  1.    Finish Strong: Brain Reframe Challenge Week 3 Sasha Agent For week 2, you had to find a new happy place. This week you will find a realistic place. You’ve definitely been to this place before, so just make sure you can visualize yourself at this specific happy place.
  2. Draw a symbol or picture of your new ideal place on Day 16 in your journal.
  3. Next, play this week’s video and visualize yourself in your new realistic happy place.

Day 17: Think about your Ultimate Goal.

  1. Think back to your ultimate goal from last week, and visualize yourself reaching this goal.
  2. Next play last week’s video and visualize yourself in your new happy place, but this time envision yourself experiencing the happy place with the knowledge that you have reached your ultimate goal.
  3. Draw a symbol of something that represents what you saw during your meditation.

Day 17-20: Visualize, Visualize, Visualize 

  1.    Finish Strong: Brain Reframe Challenge Week 3 Sasha Agent Find a quiet place first thing when you wake up.
  2. Ask yourself, can I reach my goal?
  3. Follow up with a confident YES, and begin to visualize this week’s happy place with the knowledge that you have reached your ultimate goal, all while engaging in last week’s video

Day 21: Reflect

  1. When you wake up, find the time to reflect in your journal by drawing out pictures or symbolic representations of your goal.
  2. Once you have your images drawn out, write your goal in a one sentence statement.
  3. Now repeat steps 2-3 from Days 17-20.

Finish Strong

Congratulations! You are officially finished with my brain reframe challenge, and should have a retrained your brain! Remember that your brain will always need reminders, especially for those of us that have been hardwired to think negative thoughts. Always try to make a conscious effort to prevent your brain from falling back into its negative mode.

*Please note that I am not a licensed psychologist or counselor. I am also not an expert on neuroplasticity. I developed these activities based on my own personal knowledge and research on creating habits. Results may also differ and depend on the individual. For some, creating a habit may take more than 21 days–and I may be one of those people due to my short-term memory problem. : /  Have fun with this y’all!
