Work it Out Wednesday with Shabella

Hold me Accountable

So I’m gonna try something new, but I sort of need your help in regard to being held accountable… This summer, since time is on my side and all, I want to start working out. You see, I inherited these awesome genes from my dad where I really don’t have to be active to maintain my weight. Now, before you shut your laptop on me, hear me out when I say this isn’t exactly a blessing. With the food I eat and my lack of exercise, I feel like one day my health may dramatically turn on me–especially with diseases like cancer and heart disease being prevalent within my family.

The Plan

Starting today and hopefully every Wednesday, hopefully… I plan to share a “Work it Out” #OOTD (outfit of the day) as well as a fitness tip or “Work it Out” fitness routine. I figured, why not inspire my followers, all while improving my health? it’s a win win!

Today I’m rockin’ a beautiful mesh racer back tank and super chic mesh joggers from a new line known as Shabella. Work it Out!

Cardio… Ughhh… I know, I know–but this is the best way to snap back into shape and lose weight. I created and used this, “Work it Out” routine to whip my body back into shape after having my two-year old–it seriously works–sucks, but works! Hello everyone! My name is Brittany and I am from Ontario, California. A little bit of background about myself… I have been running track pretty much all of my life, and it wasn’t until I was a junior in high school that I realized my love for dance. I hung up my spikes, pursued my passion, and joined my high school dance company. Even though the desire to dance burned within me, I couldn’t set it ablaze because in reality, track was my ticket to pay for my education. However, I vowed to myself that once I had received my Bachelor’s Degree, I would dedicate all of my efforts to my dance career. In seeking out individuals who I felt shared the same passion, I came across “Cheertime101.” I met Sasha, the CEO of Cheertime101 through Instagram. She took me under her wings, and introduced me not only to her awesome style blog and YouTube channel, but also to this amazing pro cheer website. Once I read one article, I simply couldn’t stop reading. I read more and more, and was absolutely floored.

And now here I am, a CheerTime contributor! During my journey to going pro, I will be making a series of workout videos targeting different areas to not only to assist you all, but to also hold myself accountable.

CheerTime101’s 60 Day Feel Good Challenge: Week 8

Face you Fears ChallengeHow did it go last week? Doesn’t it feel nice to get compliments from the person that knows you the best? You! Verbal hugs are so important. They help boost your confidence and give you the encouragement needed to gain personal growth. 

This week we are going to face our personal fears and challenge ourselves to take a risk. For example, This week I’m going to try something new with my bogging. Although I love performing and dancing; I absolutely hate speaking in public. Which is kind of ironic because I speak before a classroom of students almost everyday. However, If I have to speak before peers or an audience, my stress levels are through the roof, yet I’ve learned to at least mask the visible symptoms like; the shaky voice, hyperventilation (literally) and blanking out.

I’ve learned that if I want to take my blogging to the next level, I must start to vlog–better known as video blogging. Even though I’m only speaking before a camera, I know that I’m putting myself out there for the world to possibly see–and this freaks me out a little, or a lot.

So this week, try taking yourself out of your comfort zone, and face your fears.
